About Halsbury's Statutes
Halsbury's Statutes of England and Wales, published by LexisNexis Butterworths, sets out the text of every Public General Act in force in England and Wales, with notes on each section. It began in 1929 as the companion to Halsbury's Laws.
The fourth edition was published in 50 volumes between 1985 and 1992. Volumes are reissued when the law in their subject has changed enough, and the set is kept current by an annual Cumulative Supplement and a looseleaf service.
Not every law book charity can take Halsbury's Statutes. The International Law Book Facility, for example, lists it among the books it does not accept.
